You may amble through the gorgeous floral displays of Washington Park; browse through history at the Follett House Museum, the Maritime Museum, and the Merry-Go-Round Museum; take a ferry to the Lake Erie Islands; grab a bite or feast on a complete meal at one of the many restaurants and pubs; visit the boutiques and antique shops; play tennis at Battery Park; or just stroll around Sandusky and enjoy the beauty of the waterfront and the many century buildings.

A Short Drive Away

For your enjoyment, the Sandusky area is abundant with recreational, cultural and historic attractions. Golfing, swimming, sailing, boating and fishing are just a few of the area’s most popular activities. Hikers, nature lovers and bird watchers can enjoy exploring two nearby nature preserves: Old Woman’s Creek and Sheldon’s Marsh. Antique lovers can visit over six dealers in the area. Historians and architectural buffs can while away their time at Thomas Edison’s Birthplace and Museum in Milan, Ohio, Perry’s Victory and International Peace Monument on South Bass Island or the Civil War Cemetery on Johnson’s Island. In addition the area is a wine lover’s haven with most wineries offering both tours of their facilities and samples of their products.
